Nicole Petrilli

With a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities that exist for the sector, Nicole’s experience includes advising Traditional Owner entities, native title holders, JVs, Aboriginal community controlled organisations, and Indigenous businesses at various stages of their growth journeys.

More broadly, she works with clients across a range of sectors on Reconciliation and Closing the Gap initiatives, Indigenous engagement and participation plans, Indigenous rights and obtaining FPIC and on their sustainability and ESG agendas. Nicole is passionate about ensuring that First Nations people and communities actively participate and benefit from Australia’s renewable energy transformation.

In collaboration with the United Nations Global Compact and the University of Technology Sydney, Nicole co-authored the Australian Business Guide to Implementing the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Alongside the KIS sector lead, Nicole developed KPMG’s inaugural Indigenous sector strategy.

Nicole joined KPMG in 2015 and was a founding member of KIS. She works with Indigenous, government, and private sector clients to further their social commitment to Indigenous Australia.
